Are we a good fit?
Honestly, I have no idea. There’s only so much you can learn about a person through their pictures and sayings though if you haven’t already skimmed through my blog posts or my deets, couldn’t hurt to do that first to see if you spot any glaring red flags.
Beyond that, the single BEST way to determine if we would be a good match is to book a therapy consult. And, lucky for you, I offer them for free.
What to Expect
What should you expect at during your (free) therapy consult? Expect to talk about what’s going on with you – briefly though as we’ll only chat for about 15-20 minutes. After you give me the gist, I may ask you some follow up questions to see if you’d be a good fit for online therapy and a good fit for how I operate. Then, I’ll share more about my practice and the logistics of therapy. If you give me a thumbs up and I concur, we’ll start checking scheduled to see when you could have your intake.
What if I don’t like you?
It’s entirely possible that we won’t “click”. Finding a therapist is sort of like dating. You may need to try on several therapists before you find one that feels comfortable enough, and if I’m not that person for you, that’s A-OK. Other concerns like insurance or schedule availability may indicate that we wouldn’t be able to work together. If this happens, I’ll do my best to track you down some referrals that may be closer to what you’re looking for. In this case, finding a therapist is nothing like dating – but imagine how cool it would be if every bad date you went on offered suggestions of others who might be better for you?
